In the beginning, the Pacific North West Lions Clubs consisted of Washington,
Idaho, British Columbia, Oregon, California and Nevada which was one large
District.
For many years an ongoing program of continuous expansion and growth repeated
until the present time.
The following is a brief synopsis of M.D. 19.
*
Seattle Central - Organized March 1920,
Cancelled in February 1921 and reorganized in August of 1921.
* Everett Central, oldest continuously active club in MD19, chartered in 1920
* Vancouver BC organized in February 1921.
* Tacoma organized in November 1921.
*
In 1921 Oregon, Washington, Idaho, and
British Columbia separated from California and Nevada and was granted District
status.
* Spokane Central organized March 2, 1922.
* Wenatchee organized March 22, 1922, reorganized March 1930.
* Bellingham Central organized October, 1922.
* Yakima organized December, 1922.
* Longview Pioneer organized November, 1923.
This gave the required eight or more clubs for full District status.

The first District 19 Convention was held
in Seattle Washington, representing 9 Clubs and
465 members.
* In 1927 Lions International divided District into Zones.
*
In 1930, 31 District Governor John Lampert
of Yakima formed a standard organizational plan involving Cabinet and District.
*
In 1939 District progressed from 9 Clubs
of 1923 to 55 Clubs, 1 District Governor, and 5 Deputy District Governors.
*
In 1946 - 48 the District was reorganized to form MD 19 with 136 Clubs, 7595
Members, a Council Chairman, 5 District Governors, and 15 Zone Chairmen in Washington,
Northern Idaho and British Columbia.
* 1950 - 51 split Districts 19 E, and 19 D to form District 19 F.
* 1963 - 64 split District 19 C and got District 19 G crating 7 D.G.s and 299
Clubs.

1966 - 67 split District 19 A to form District
19 H, with 8 D.G.s 31 Z.Cs 321 Clubs and 12,595 members.

1970 - 71 split Districts 19 A and District
19 H to form District 19 I giving us 9 D.Gs, 46 Z.C.s, 375 Clubs and 14,387
Members.
* Today there are are 9 D.Gs, 69 Z.C.s, and 14,885 members
